Kim Delaney has won Emmy Awards for the role of Detective Diane Russell. Her roles include All My Children Philly CSI: Miami and Army Wives. As the sole daughter of a high-ranking executive in the United Auto Workers and a homemaker Delaney grew up with her four brothers. As a child, Delaney fantasized about becoming a reporter for the court. The first time she began modeling was in highschool and eventually gained commercials when she moved from the south of England to New York. In her teens her first appearance as an actress was in the soap opera All My Children. Since then Delaney has appeared in numerous films television movies and dramas. In contrast to her impressive professional career, Delaney's personal life is not successful and happy. The skilled actor struggled with alcoholism as well as two divorces. In 2005 she lost the custody of her son.
